Quiet Minutes lives in your menu bar. Start it before a call or meeting and it listens to your microphone and your Mac's system audio, transcribing both live and labeling who said what ("You" vs. "Meeting"). When you stop, it can generate a summary and action items on request.
Every part of that pipeline — audio capture, transcription, and summarization — runs entirely on-device using Apple's Speech and Foundation Models frameworks. Nothing is ever uploaded anywhere, including to us.

Quiet Minutes does not require an account and never asks for personal information. Audio, transcripts, and summaries are processed and stored entirely locally on your Mac. We operate no servers, and no audio or transcript data is ever transmitted anywhere — not to us, not to Apple's servers, not to any third party.
Quiet Minutes asks for Microphone access to hear your side of a meeting, and for Screen & System Audio Recording access to hear the other side of a call (audio only — no screen content is ever captured, viewed, or stored). Both are used exclusively while you have an active meeting recording running, and only to produce your local transcript.
Transcription uses Apple's on-device Speech framework with on-device recognition only. Audio is never sent to Apple's servers for transcription.
Meeting summaries and action items are generated using Apple's on-device Foundation Models (Apple Intelligence), which runs locally on your Mac. No transcript text is sent to any cloud AI service.
Quiet Minutes Pro is an auto-renewable subscription processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We never see your payment information.
Quiet Minutes contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
Quiet Minutes is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
